Distinguished analytics firm in Alexandria, Virginia is hiring a Data Scientist for their advanced data team. This person will be working with large structured and unstructured data sets and collaborating with a tight knit group of data analysts, developers and stakeholders for a predictive analytics project that is utilizing AI and ML techniques to improve a proprietary budgeting application.

A few responsibilities include: creating data analytics models to improve data metrics, analyzing customer behavior and trends, delivering insights to stakeholders and executives, as well as designing and crafting reports, dashboards, models, and algorithms to make data insights actionable. The ideal candidate will be well versed with: Python and R, Sql, modern BI tools, and ideally have machine learning and predictive analytics experience. This role also requires an active secret clearance or above to be considered.

• - 2+ years experience as Data Scientist/Analyst
• - Bachelors degree in related field
• - Proficient with Python and R languages
• - Experience with SQL and/or Postgres
• - Worked with modern BI and analytic software platforms such as: Tableau, Qlik, SPSS, etc.
• - Must have active Secret Clearance or above

• - Masters degree/PHD in related field
• - Experience with Machine Learning Tools
